私は、「人新世の資本論」を読みました。
この本は、少し前まで本屋にベストセラーとして並べられていました。この本は、2021年には、新書大賞を受賞しています。
著者は、斎藤幸平氏です。38歳の若い研究者です。彼は、テレビでもコメンテーターとして時々出演しています。
それで皆さんも知っていると思います。
私は、最初は、今さら資本論とは、時代錯誤もはなはだしいと思い、読もうという気は起きませんでした。
先日、古本屋に並んでいたので、どうしてこの本が売れたのか知りたくて買って、読んでみました。やはりベストセラーになる本は、素晴らしいものを持っていると思いました。
彼は、現在の資本主義では、地球環境問題は絶対に解決できないということを説明しています。現在のSDGsの運動は、有効な対策とはならない、と説明しています。それは、アヘンのような効果しかない、と言っています。
私は、SDGsがなんとなくおかしいと感じていましたが、その理由を知ることができました。
つまり、彼は、人類社会は、マルクスの資本論に戻るべきだと言っています。
現在、この流れが世界中の若者の間に広まっている。
だから30年後には、社会主義の考え方に基づいた人類社会になっていくだろう、と言っています。
資本主義社会は本質的に二酸化炭素の排出を減らすことはできない。だから、私は、「人間社会は、マルクスの資本論に戻らなければならない」という説明に納得しました。
しかし、私は、本当に納得していません。戸惑いを感じています。
私は、「人新世の資本論」は読み応えのある本だと思います。

Return to Marx’s “Capital theory”.
I read “Capital in the Anthropocene”. Until recently, this book was lined up as a bestseller in bookstores. In 2021, this book won the Shinsho Grand Prize.
The author is Saito Kohei. He is a young researcher who is 38 years old. He sometimes appears on television as a commentator. I think you all know him.
At first, I thought that “Capital” was a huge anachronism, and I didn’t feel like reading it.
The other day, I saw it lined up in a used bookstore, so I bought it and read it because I wanted to know why it was the best selling. I thought that books that become bestsellers have something great.
He explains that current capitalism can never solve global environmental problems. He explains that the current SDGs movement is not an effective measure. He says that it only has an opium-like effect.
I had always felt that the SDGs were strange, so I was able to find out the reason.
In other words, he is saying that human society should return to Marx’s Capital.
Currently, this trend is spreading among young people all over the world. So he says that in 30 years, human society will be based on socialist ideas.
Capitalist society is essentially unable to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. I was convinced by the explanation that “human society must return to Marx’s Capital.”
However, I am not really convinced. I feel confused.
I think “Capital in the Anthropocene” is a worthwhile book.
I recommend this to everyone.
