最近は、”おやガチャ”、親の当たりはずれ、という言葉が若者の間に広がっていると聞きました。教育を受けたくても親が貧乏なら、大学に行けない、というのです。
人は親の運によって、人生の80％は決まってしまうだろう。
確かに有力 政治家には、二世議員の割合が多いです。俳優さんにも二世俳優が多いです。東京大学の学生の親の年収は、比較的高いと聞きます。
経済的な影響の他に、親の教育に対する態度の影響が大きいと思いました。
私は、10歳の男の子二人に英語を教えています。
お互いの男の子の母親は、いとこ同士の関係にあります。したがって、彼らは、はとこの関係にあります。遺伝的には似ていると思います。しかし、英語学習の態度に大きな違いがあります。母親からの影響を大きく受けています。
先月末に姉妹都市事業で市内の18の家族が、ワカタネの高校生を受け入れました。
ホストファミリーの親たちは、お子さんの英語学習の刺激になると考えていました。
それは、ホストファミリーのお子さんたちにとって、幸運だったと思います。
普通の親は、そんな面倒なことは嫌だと考えています。
今行われている衆議院選挙では、親の経済的格差をなくすために「教育の無償化」が言われています。しかし、たとえ大学教育が無償でも、親の運はなくならないと思います。
私は、教育環境に恵まれない子供は、自己教育により運を開くしかないと思います。

I heard that the term “oya gacha” or “lucky or bad parents” is spreading among young people these days. Even if you want to get an education, if your parents are poor, you can’t go to college.
80% of a person’s life is probably determined by the luck of their parents.
It’s true that there are many second-generation politicians among influential politicians. There are also many second-generation actors. I hear that the annual income of parents of students at the University of Tokyo is relatively high.
Aside from economic influences, I think that parents’ attitudes toward education have a big influence.
I teach English to two 10-year-old boys. The boys’ mothers are cousins. Therefore, they are second cousins. I think they are similar genetically. However, there is a big difference in their attitudes toward learning English. They are greatly influenced by their mothers.
Late last month, 18 families hosted high school students from Wakatan as part of a sister city project. The host families thought that this would be an incentive for their children to learn English. I think that was good luck for the children of the host families. Most parents would not want to receive such trouble.
In the current House of Representatives election, there is talk of making education free to eliminate economic disparities between parents. However, even if university education were free, I don’t think that parents’ luck would disappear.
I think that children who are not blessed with an educational environment have no choice but to improve their luck by educating themselves.
