私は、日本が嫌いな日本人には、海外経験をしてほしいと思う。
私と妻は、6月8日土曜日の昼頃、白井の公園にコーヒーを飲みに行きました。
小山の上に、日傘のような屋根と丸いベンチがあります。
コーヒーを飲んでいると、散歩している老人が、ここは日陰なので、ここに座っていいかと言って、私たちの前に座りました。
話を聞いていたら、彼は、毎日この公園で散歩しているということです。
近くの中銀マンションから自転車で来て、この公園を毎日2周歩いているそうです。
中銀マンションは、老人のケア付きマンションです。
多分、その老人の奥さんは動けなくなったのでしょう。そして、その老人は、人生の最後をそのマンションで迎えるのでしょう。
話をしていたら、その老人は、ビジネスでヨーロッパやアメリカ等の色々の国に行ったことがあると言っていました。
そして日本が最高に良い国だと言っていました。
30分ぐらいしたら、老夫婦がやってきました。彼らは、その老人と時々、このベンチで話をしている友人ということでした。それで5人の会話となりました。
老夫婦のご主人は、金属の塑性加工の技術者で、50か国以上の国に技術指導で行ったことがあると言っていました。
その方も日本は最高に素晴らしい国だと言っていました。
彼は、「このような公園にチリ一つ落ちていない国は、日本だけだ。」と言っていました。
しかし、彼は、「日本がアメリカと戦争したのは、日本の指導者が悪かった。」と非難していました。
私は、「海外経験をした人は、日本が必ず好きになるものだ。」と思いました。
私も日本を本当に好きになったのは、海外経験をした後です。
日本には、日本が嫌いな日本人が、半分ぐらいいます。
この頃は、中国や北朝鮮のおかげで少し減っていると思います。
ということで、私は、「日本が嫌いな日本人には、海外に行って経験をしてほしい。」と思います。
I want Japanese people who dislike Japan to have an experience abroad.
My wife and I went to Shirai Park to drink coffee around noon on Saturday, June 8th.
On top of a small hill, there is a round bench with a parasol-like roof.
While we were drinking coffee, an old man who was walking asked if he could sit here in the shade and sat down in front of us.
As we listened to him, we learned that he takes a walk in this park every day.
He comes by bicycle from the nearby Nakagin Mansion and walks around the park twice a day.
Nakagin Mansion is a condominium that provides care for the elderly.
The old man’s wife was probably unable to move. And the old man will probably spend the last days of his life in the condominium.
As we talked, the old man said that he had been to many countries, including Europe and America, on business.
And he said that Japan is the best country.
After about 30 minutes, an elderly couple came in. They were friends of the old man and sometimes talked to him on this bench. So we had a conversation between five people.
The husband of the elderly couple is a metal plastic processing engineer, and said that he has been to over 50 countries to provide technical guidance.
He also said that Japan is the most wonderful country.
He said, “Japan is the only country where there is not a speck of dust on the ground in a park like this.”
However, he criticized Japan, saying, “Japan’s leaders were bad, which is why Japan went to war with the United States.”
I thought, “People who have experience abroad are sure to come to like Japan.”
I too came to truly like Japan after my experience abroad.
About half of the Japanese people in Japan dislike Japan.
I think that number has decreased a little these days, thanks to China and North Korea.
So I would like to encourage Japanese people who dislike Japan to have an experience abroad.
