映画製作者の創造力は素晴らしい。
今月の始め、孫娘二人とアカデミー賞の受賞作品を見ました。
「ゴジラ」と「オッペンハイマー」です。
私は、特にゴジラに、感心しました。
ゴジラが日本の東京に上陸するというありえない話でした。
科学的に考えるとおかしな点がいくつもあります。
どうして太平洋の中で生きていたのか。
ゴジラのエサは何か。
どうしてゴジラは、海の中を泳いでいたのか。
どうして背中のひれは、怒ると青く突き出すのか。
ゴジラはどうして破壊光線を出すのか。
ゴジラを海の水圧で殺すために、ゴジラの周りに泡を出す装置を巻きつけた。
しかし、深度が深くなれば泡もでないのではないか。
映画の途中に科学的にありえない話が出てきます。
ゴジラの動きは本当に素晴らしいものでした。
私は、映画制作者は、良く荒唐無稽な物語を作り出し、それをすばらしい娯楽の映像に作り上げるものだと感心しました。

Earlier this month, I watched an Academy Award winning film with my two granddaughters.
“Godzilla” and “Oppenheimer”.
I was especially impressed with Godzilla.
It was an impossible story in which Godzilla landed in Tokyo, Japan.
From a scientific point of view, there are a number of strange points.
Why did he live in the Pacific Ocean?
What is Godzilla’s food?
Why was Godzilla swimming in the ocean?
Why do the fins on its back turn blue when it gets angry?
Why does Godzilla emit a destructive ray?
In order to kill Godzilla with ocean water pressure, a bubble-producing device was wrapped around him.
However, the deeper the depth, the less bubbles there will be.
In the middle of the movie, there are strange points that are scientifically impossible.
But in the movie Godzilla’s movements were truly amazing.
I was impressed by the ability of filmmakers to create a nonsense story and turn it into a wonderfully entertaining film.
