私は、正月期間に、子供と老人の学習能力の違いに驚きました。
正月期間に孫2人が家に来て、私は10日間一緒に過ごしました。
孫たちには、沢山の宿題がありました。
宿題には、公文からの沢山のドリル、書初め、百人一首の練習がありました。
途中 孫二人は公文の宿題があって 英語とか 算数とかがたくさんありました。
私は、小学3年生の孫の算数のドリルを点検しました。
算数ドリルは、分数計算を５０枚行うというものです。
私はその点検に4日間かかりました。
その計算は、複雑なので、妻は、私に点検を任せました。
孫は、始めたら、一時間ぐらいは、軽々と計算します。
飽きてくると私のパソコンの中にあるゲームをしたり、iPad で見つけたり、YouTube でゲームのようなものを探して遊んでいます。
孫は、少ない時間の中で色々なことをして楽しんでいます。
私には、マインクラフトの操作が難しくてできません。
一方の孫たちは、簡単にマスターして楽しんでいました。
私は、正月期間の前後に85歳の先輩の家にパソコン操作を教えるために行きました。
彼のパソコンは、義理の息子のすすめで 新しいものになっていました。
Windows11のパソコンは、見かけが古いものと少し違っています。
彼は、エクセルの文書を作りたいがどうしていいかわからない、と言うのです。
彼は、「この頃、筋力も落ちてきて散歩するのが億劫になってきた。」とか「新しいことを覚えられない。」と言っていました。
彼は、少し前まではこんなことはありませんでした。
私は、小学校3年生の孫の学習能力の高さに驚きました。
同時に私の将来の姿を見ました。
Children’s learning ability is the best
I was surprised at the difference in learning ability between children and the elderly during the New Year season.
Two of my grandchildren came to my house during the New Year period and I spent 10 days with them.
My grandchildren had a lot of homework to do.
Homework included lots of drills from Kumon Jyuku school, calligraphy, and Hyakunin Isshu practice.
On the way, my two grandchildren had a lot of Kumon homework to do, including English and arithmetic.
I checked my third-grade granddaughter’s math drills.
The math drill involves doing 50 sheets of fraction calculations. It took me 4 days to do that inspection.
The calculation is complicated, so my wife left it to me to check.
Once my granddaughter starts, she does calculations easily for about an hour. When she gets bored, she plays games on my computer, on my iPad, or searches for games on YouTube. My granddaughter enjoys doing various things in the little time he has. Minecraft is too difficult for me to operate. But my grandchildren easily mastered it and enjoyed it.
And I went to the house of an 85-year-old senior to teach him how to use a computer before and after the New Year season. He was the boss in my Army age.
His computer was new at the recommendation of his son-in-law. Windows 11 computers look a little different from older ones.
He says he wants to create an Excel document but doesn’t know how.
He said things like, Recently, my muscle strength has decreased and I'm starting to feel tired of going for walks,'' andI can’t learn new things.”
He didn’t have anything like this not too long ago.
I was surprised by my grandchild’s learning ability, who is in the third grade of elementary school.
At the same time, I saw my future.
