私は、編集の仕事に本当の遣り甲斐を感じました。
私は、先日非常にやりがいのあることをしました。
本当に満足しています。
それは、私が、一人の人間の一生のストーリーをまとめる作業を助けることができたという事です。
千葉県 JICA シニアボランティアの会では、年に2回会報を作っています。
今回は、コロナの影響で出前講座等が亡くなり、記事原稿が集まりません。
それで、私たちは、会員に近況を報告する記事原稿を書いてもらうように頼みました。
88歳の最長老の人が、書いてくれました。しかし、その文章は、非常に長く面白味がありませんでした。
それは、私は、これをしました、次にこれをしました、何々がありました、というだけで、伝えたいメッセージがないからです。
そこで、私は、彼にインタビューを2時間ぐらい行いました。
私は、困難だったことに対処したストーリーを聞きました。
そして2ページの記事ができました。私は、若者に「私のように積極的に外国に行け。」というメッセージを軸に文章を編集しました。
本人は非常に喜んでくれました。
私は、一人の人の人生をまとめる仕事ができて本当に満足しています。
I found the editing work really worth the effort.
I did something very rewarding the other day.
I’m really happy.
It means that I helped put together the story of a person’s life.
The Chiba Prefecture JICA Senior Volunteers Association publishes a newsletter twice a year.
This time, due to the influence of Corona, the delivery lectures etc. did not open, and the article manuscripts were not collected.
So we asked our members to write an article manuscript to report the daily status.
The oldest person, 88 years old, wrote it. However, the text was very long and uninteresting.
That’s because I did this, then I did this, there was something, but he did not have the message he wanted to convey.
So I interviewed him for about two hours.
I heard the story of what was difficult.
And this article was created. I edited the text around the message to young people. “You, young man and woman, should go abroad aggressively as I do.”
He was very pleased. He said I could not summarize my story.
I’m really happy to have the job of putting one person’s life together.
