私は、誰も、紛争が何故起きるのかわからない、と思いました。
シニアボランティアの会では、先週の土曜日に公開講演会を行いました。
今回の講師は、一年前に予定していた露木氏でした。昨年は、コロナの対策のため実施できなかったのです。会場に来れない人のために、Facebook の機能を使って動画配信もしました。
講師は、JICA専門家で20ヶ国語に滞在したことがあるそうです。今回は、パキスタンの経験談を話していただきました。
講演後に質問がありました。
「パキスタンは、日本では非常に危険な国というイメージがあるが、どうしてなのでしょうか。」
彼の答えは、「分からない。住んでみると危険という印象はあまりない。」ということでした。
例えば、結婚するには親兄弟、親戚の同意まで必要だそうです。相手方も同じなので村全体の承認が無ければ結婚できないそうです。だから、パキスタンの社会は非常に安定していると感じたそうです。
だから、テロを起こすような人は、他の国から来た人ではないかと思う、と言っていました。
現実には、パキスタンは、時々テロが起きています。危険な国です。現在は、イスラエルとパレスチナの停戦合意がありましたが、紛争が止むことはありません。
私は、改めて、誰もどうして紛争が起きるのか分からない、と思いました。
No one knows why the conflict happened.
The Senior Volunteer Association gave a public lecture last Saturday.
The lecturer this time was Mr. Tsuyuki, who was scheduled a year ago. Last year, we could not open the Public Lecture due to measures against coronavirus. For those who couldn’t come to the venue, we also distribute the live videos by Facebook.
The lecturer is a JICA expert who has stayed in over 20 countries. This time, he talked about his experiences in Pakistan.
He received a question after the lecture.
“Pakistan has the image of being a very dangerous country in Japan, why?”
His answer was, “I don’t know. I don’t really get the impression that it’s dangerous to live in.”
For example, to get married it seems that he requires the consent of parents and siblings and relatives. Since the woman requires the same consent, it seems that you can’t get married without the approval of the entire village. Therefore, he felt that Pakistani society was very stable.
So I suspect that the person who causes terrorism is from another country, he said.
In reality, Pakistan is experiencing terrorism from time to time. It’s a dangerous country. Currently, there is a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Palestine, but the conflict never stops.
I once again thought that no one knew why a conflict would occur.
