若い大学1年生から MacBook Air の修理を頼まれました。
それはなんと今年の5月に買ったばかり新製品です。
画面が少し割れてしまいました。多分、誤ってボールペンを挟んでしまったのでしょう。
通常は、一年以内の初期故障で無償で直してもらえます。
しかし、彼の場合は、彼の過失による故障ですので製品の保障の範囲内に
含まれません。それで、見積もってもらったところ、6万円といわれたそうです。
それで、私の所に来たわけです。
しかし、これには私も困りました。
新製品なので、部品をどう入手して良いかわかりません。
そこで昔同僚だったイザリーさんに聞きました。
そうしたら AliExpress と言うサイトを教えてくれました。
これは中国のアリババグループが運営しているサイトです。
ここでは部品が最新の部品が売っていました非常に安く売っていました驚きました。
つまり、中国からの個人輸入です。
ただこれは時間がかかります21日かかりました。
この方法で、3万円ぐらいで修理することができました。学生さんからは喜ばれました。
今日は、イザリーさんにもお礼に行ってきました。
Direct import from China
A college freshman student asked me to repair his MacBook Air 2020.
It’s a new product that he just bought in May of this year.
The screen is a little cracked. Maybe he accidentally put a ballpoint pen between the LCD screen and Key-board.
Usually, you can get it fixed free of charge for the initial failure insurance within one year.
However, in his case, it is a failure due to his fault, so it is beyond the scope of the product warranty.
So, when he got an estimate, he was said to be 60,000 yen.
That’s why he came to my place. However, this also bothered me. It’s a new product, so I don’t know how to get the parts.
So I asked Mr. Izalee, who was a colleague in the past.
Then he told me a site called AliExpress.
This is a site operated by Alibaba Group in China.
I was surprised that the latest parts were sold here and they were sold very cheaply.
In other words, it is a private import from China.
But this took 21 days to get to my house. It is long time.
With this method, I was able to repair it for about 30,000 yen. The students were pleased.
